If you're upgrading from Responsive Time Logger Version 3, here's some helpful information below.
For best results, install Time Logger to the directory that holds Version 3. If you do this, then when you first run Time Logger Version 4, it will automatically convert your descriptor, invoice, and client information databases. If you install it to a different directory for evaluation, you can later delete that separate directory tree and reinstall to your original Time Logger directory.
Please delete your old Time Logger app on the Palm, before installing the new Palm Interface. This is important, because it eliminates any possibility for confusion between the old and new Time Logger Palm database formats.
The command line used to specify a user has changed in version 4. If you use your old shortcut, you'll get an error message because Time Logger will attempt to open a database with your user name.
When setting up a shortcut to Time Logger, here's an example of the new command line format:
"c:\Program Files\timelog\timelog" /User "Kelly North"
More on this may be found in Time Logger's F1 help under "The Time Logger Command Line."
The F1 help has information on things that have changed. Here are some items we forgot to include:
To change the Next Invoice Number, choose Tools/Global Options/Other.
To change the previous balance for an invoice, modify the prior invoices and payments for that client in the Accounts Receivable (Invoices/Accounts Receivable).
The invoices are now stored in the Time Logger directory, rather than in a separate invoices directory. We changed that because some users have problems with subdirectories.
The invoices.iif and invoices.qif files are also stored in the main directory.

Your order is risk-free! Time Logger comes with an iron-clad money-back guarantee. If you aren't satisfied with Time Logger for any reason, just send it back within 30 days for a full and cheerful refund.
