Before doing the steps in this section verify that you are using Windows Vista and you have Time Logger version 4.x installed. To see your Time Logger version, select Help/About Time Logger.
Also, check your HotSync settings to verify that you have Time Logger listed as an active Conduit and your settings on the Action tab are correct. See: Setting HotSync Actions on how to do this.
Finally, look in the HotSync Log file (follow these directions to do this) and verify that there were no errors HotSyncing to Time Logger. If you get an error saying something about the databases not being identical, please see this: After HotSync databases are not identical to resolve that issue.
I cannot get my time records to HotSync to my Windows Vista, but there are no Time Logger Conduit errors in the log file and it looks like it's HotSyncing to the correct database.
To resolve this issue, please follow the directions below....
In these examples, we'll assume that your time records database file is named "My Company Time Records.mdb". Please replace that name with yours.
First open Time Logger and verify that you are using your correct time records database file by both looking at your time records list in the main window to verify you see your latest time records and viewing your Current Database on the Advanced/Diagnostics window.
Please follow these steps below in order.
If your Current Database is not the correct one:
If your Current Database is the correct one:
If your Current Database is under the folder: C:\Program Files, such as C:\Program Files\Timelog, then use the following drive, path and filename for your time records database file:
C:\Users\?????\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Timelog\My Company Time Records.mdb
or here for Vista 64bit:
C:\Users\?????\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Timelog\My Company Time Records.mdb
and follow the directions under: Choose a Specific Time Records Database File for HotSyncing on the screen: HotSync Configuration Window -- Time Record Files Tab.
If your Current Database is NOT under the folder: C:\Program Files, such as C:\Program Files\Timelog, then use the same time records database file as identified by the Current Database on the Advanced/Diagnostics window (below is an example path)
C:\The Current Database Path\My Company Time Records.mdb
and follow the directions under: Choose a Specific Time Records Database File for HotSyncing on the screen: HotSync Configuration Window -- Time Record Files Tab.
