Windows Vista & Palm: In Demo mode but PC is Registered

Top  Previous  Next

If you have purchased and own a legal copy of Time Logger version 4.x and it is installed and running on your PC that is running Windows Vista, but after HotSyncing your Palm still says it's in Demo mode, follow these directions to fix that.

NOTE: You will need Administrator rights to accomplish this.

1.  Open to the folder:

C:\Users\?????\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Timelog

or here for Vista 64bit:

C:\Users\?????\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Timelog

and select and copy the file timelog.ini.

2.  Then, open the folder:

C:\Program Files\Timelog

and paste the file timelog.ini replacing the current one.

3.  Then perform a HotSync.

Now, when you run Time Logger on your Palm handheld it should recognize that you have a legal copy.
